Saakashvili suspects Ukrainian Interior Minister Avakov of adding his name to Peacekeeper database
The leader of the Movement of New Forces (Rukh) and former Odesa regional governor, Mikheil Saakashvili, taken across the Polish-Ukrainian border through the Shehyni checkpoint by his supporters, believes that Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has ordered that his name be added to the Peacekeeper database, the 112.Ukraine TV channel said.
Saakashvili said he was indignant at being put on the Peacekeeper database and accused Avakov of doing so.
The Peacekeeper database contains the names of Ukrainian and foreign citizens whose activity jeopardizes Ukrainian sovereignty.
Saakashvili denied that his supporters breached the law while crossing the Shehyni checkpoint by force. He said they had the right to act in such a manner.
