United States, Ukraine to conduct observation flight over Belarus and Russia on Sept 4-8

The mission of the United States and Ukraine will conduct an observation flight over the territory of Belarus and Russia, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus said on Monday.

"From September 4 to September 8, within the framework of the Treaty on the Open Skies, it is planned to conduct an observation flight of the mission of the United States and Ukraine over the territory of the group of participating states in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation," the Ministry of Defense said.

It said that the purpose of conducting an observation flight is to monitor military activities in the territories of the observed states.
