Russian-backed militants shell ATO positions 19 times over past day
Militants of illegal armed formations have committed 19 attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Anti-Terrorist Operation area over the past day with no losses among Ukrainian servicemen, the press center of the ATO headquarters has said.
"The enemy continued to fire shots at our positions near several populated localities on the contact line," the ATO staff said on its Facebook page.
According to it, the enemy fired grenade launchers on the Avdiyivka industrial zone and the Butovka mine and small arms and heavy machineguns on the vicinity of Zaitseve and Kamyanka in the Donetsk sector.
Ukrainian army positions came under heavy machinegun fire three times near Vodiane in the Mariupol sector, the staff said.
