Avdiyivka must be independent from Donetsk gas supplies - Poroshenko
The town of Avdiyivka in Donetsk region is no longer dependent on electricity supply from the areas of Donbas not controlled by Ukrainian authorities, and the same task has now been set with regard to the town's gas supplies, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.
"At my instruction, investment projects were carried out, and today Avdiyivka does not depend on energy supplies from the occupied territory," Poroshenko said in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
Now the task is to make Avdiyivka independent from natural gas supplies from the uncontrolled territories, he said.
"I am keeping this issue under control and I hope this task will be fulfilled in the very near future," Poroshenko said.
