Washington seriously considering possibility of sending lethal weapons to Ukraine – Volker
No decision has been made in the U.S. on the delivery of lethal weapons to Ukraine, however this issue is being discussed at a high level, Special U.S. Representative on Ukraine Kurt Volker has said.
"There isn't any new decision yet, but at very senior levels people are taking that very seriously," Volker said to the Financial Times in an interview, adding, "Of course, it has to be a decision from the president."
Volker said the situation in Ukraine is worsening and "it is going to continue to get worse unless we do something." He added that U.S. President Donald Trump was working on the issue with Germany and France.
