Kyiv waiting for lethal weapon from partners, receives them only from Lithuania
Ukraine has presently received lethal weapon only from Lithuania but is hoping to receive more from other partner-countries as well, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said.
"From the first day of Russian aggression... we turned to all countries of the world with a request to provide us with aid in the form of lethal weapon. So far only Lithuania has done so. We continue waiting and are ready to receive lethal weapons. But that requires a decision not by us but by our partner-countries. We are very hopeful for such support," Poltorak told journalists at an arms exhibition in central Kyiv on Wednesday.
