Appellate Court upholds pre-trial restriction for MP Dobkin
The Kyiv Court of Appeal has dismissed an appeal by the defense team of MP Mykhailo Dobkin of the Opposition Bloc against the ruling of the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv to choose a pre-trial preventive measure for him in the form of detention with an option of a UAH 50 million bail.
The panel of judges made this ruling on Monday, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
As reported, the Prosecutor General's Office handed Dobkin a suspicion of fraud and abuse of authority.

On July 19 it became known that his fellow faction member Vadym Novinsky contributed UAH 30 million to pay part of his UAH 50 million bail, the remaining UAH 20 million was provided by co-chairman of the Opposition Bloc party Borys Kolesnikov.
