New bases for preparation of Special Operations Forces to be created in Ukraine
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said that new bases for the preparation of the Special Operations Forces will be created in Ukraine.
"Today, the Special Operations Forces are a symbol of our cooperation with our NATO partners. Special bases are being created. We agreed that facilities will be built in Kropivnytsky that will improve the level of training of our special forces," the president said during his working trip to the Kirovohrad region.
According to him, in the conditions of the aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, special operations forces were created by a presidential decree.
"It is very important that the basis of these forces is heroes, servicemen, including the 3rd Special Forces Regiment, which became a symbol of Kropivnytsky. And in the most difficult moments of military aggression - both the defense of the Donetsk airport ... and the securing of the withdrawal of our forces in Debaltseve, and operations in Luhansk, and many other operations, which I can't talk about now," he said.
