SBU says arrest of 'diversionary group' in Donetsk is fake news
Ukraine's SBU Security Service has said information circulated by self-proclaimed security forces in the occupied so-called Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) about the capture of a diversionary SBU group is a fake piece of news.
"Kremlin puppets in the DPR said they had arrested a "SBU's diversionary group" in Donetsk. The SBU says this news is a fake one and was cooked up in order to frighten the local population residing in the occupied territories of our country," the SBU said.
DPR security forces on Wednesday said an attempt by SBU diversionary forces to cross into the occupied territory and commit a terrorist attack had been thwarted. The report said Ukrainian military intelligence agents were tasked with blowing up a television broadcasting tower in Petrovsky District of Donetsk.
