Nearly 3,000 servicemen from various countries involved in drills in Georgia
The Noble Partner 2017 international military exercises, which continued for two weeks in Georgia, concluded on Saturday.
Servicemen from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Turkey, Slovenia, Ukraine, Armenia, and Georgia participated in the exercises.
"Up to 2,800 servicemen from various countries, as well as U.S. and German military hardware that had specially arrived from Europe, were involved in the exercises. The objective of the exercises, achieving the compatibility between ground forces of various countries, was fully accomplished," the Georgian Armed Forces' General Staff Chief Vladimir Chachbaya told reporters on Saturday.
Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili participated in the closing ceremony of the drills at the Georgian Defense Ministry's Vaziani military base, he thanked troops and expressed confidence in the continuation of partnership.
The Noble Partner military exercises were conducted in Georgia for the third time. The latest drills were the largest.
