German govt envoy on decentralization to begin work in Ukraine in Sept
A German government envoy on decentralization will begin work in Ukraine soon, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development, Construction, and Housing and Utilities Sector Hennadiy Zubko said.
"The [decentralization] reform has been assessed highly by the European Union, including Germany, with whose support Ukraine is implementing many projects. The delegation by the German government of an envoy on decentralization is yet further evidence of the reform's successful implementation," Zubko's press service quoted him as saying on Monday.
The German envoy will begin work in Ukraine in September, he said.
Zubko said he was confident that the presence and work of a German government envoy will promote partnership between Ukrainian and German regions and will have a positive effect on infrastructural projects involving German know-how.
