Ukraine has barred 20,000 Russians from entering its territory since 2015
Ukraine has barred over 20,000 Russians from entering its territory since 2015, Ukrainian State Border Service chief Petro Tsyhykal said.
"If we talk about statistics, over 20,000 Russians were denied entry from 2015 through August 3, 2017. The figures show that, after all, there were more denials in 2015 - 10,900, and about 3,000 Russian citizens have been denied entry in 2017," Tsyhykal said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
The most frequent reasons for denying entry to Russians were unsubstantiated purpose of a trip, overstaying registration limits, or failure to prove that they possess enough financial resources, he said.
"As regards an entry ban, we are talking about 3,148 Russian citizens as of now, including nearly 100 famous Russian performers and public figures, most of whom have illegally visited Crimea," Tsyhykal said.
