Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Viktor Nazarenko has filed in his resignation letter, a source told Interfax-Ukraine.
He explained his resignation by health issues, the source told the agency.
According to the source, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is expected to appoint a new head of the State Border Service later on Tuesday.
As reported, Nazarenko fainted during a joint statement by Poroshenko and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in Kyiv on July 21. He received first aid and was taken to hospital.
The State Border Service said his health condition was satisfactory.
