Ukrainian-Belarusian interregional forum scheduled for 2017
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said an interregional Ukrainian-Belarusian forum will be held in Belarus' Gomel region during 2017.
"In the nearest time frame, this year, we agreed that we will organize it and hold the first interregional forum in Gomel," Lukashenko said during a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.
The Belarusian president said a second similar forum would be held "in the homeland of Mr. [Hennadiy] Zubko [Ukrainian Minister for Regional Development, Construction and Housing] in Zhytomyr.
Lukashenko noted the importance of interregional cooperation between countries and expressed confidence that it will improve.
