Merging of territorial communities in Ukraine needs to be completed – Groysman

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has said about the need to complete the unification of territorial communities in the country.

"We need to complete the process of uniting the territorial communities," the prime minister said during the forum titled "Decentralization - the basis for the formation of a new management and local development system" in Ternopil region on Thursday.

At the same time, he said that the unification should be voluntary and proceed through the dialogue.

According to the premier, there is sometimes resistance to the process of consolidation of the communities at the district level, however, the reform is carried out and it is rather successful.

"I have always been an absolute opponent of carrying out the reform from the top," Groysman.
