Ukraine ready to accept lethal weapons from U.S. as soon as there is relevant decision
Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak has said that Ukraine is ready to accept lethal weapons from the U.S. as soon as Washington approves this decision.
"It was repeatedly stated that the U.S. Congress has expressed its readiness to transfer lethal weapons to Ukraine, but in order for this decision to be final, the president's approval is needed," the minister told journalists before the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, commenting on the report about the U.S. Congress' decision to provide lethal weapons to Ukraine.
He stressed that Ukraine is ready to accept such weapons.
