Decentralization in Ukraine contributes to sevenfold rise in funding for territorial communities development– Poroshenko
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has noted success and positive results in decentralization, pointing out that the lion's share of modernization and financing in local territorial communities has been taking place for three years, the presidential press service has reported.
"The lion's share of modernization, the funding of changes in local territorial communities has been done during the last three years. These are the results of decentralization. Earlier all the money was concentrated in Kyiv," the president said, when opening the reconstructed radiological building and the new laboratory building in Ternopil.
He said decentralization contributed to a sevenfold increase in funding for the development of territorial communities, and now there is no need to ask the central authorities to allocate funds.
