European Commission says Minsk process slowly progressing, situation in Donbas remains tense
Deputy Chairman of the European Commission for Financial Stability and Financial Services Valdis Dombrovskis has said that the security situation in the east of Ukraine remains tense, and the Minsk process is slowly advancing.
"The current security situation in Ukraine remains tense and progress in the Minsk process is very slow. If there is no involvement of the parties, the desired results will not be achieved," he said at the conference on reforms in Ukraine in London on Thursday.
According to Dombrovskis, the sanctions that had been earlier extended against Russia are tied to the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
