Defense files motion on impossibility of serving justice at Kyiv court in Yanukovych state treason case – Serdiuk
Defense lawyers for disgraced ex Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych have filed a motion on the impossibility of serving justice in the case of state treason against Yanukovych for state treason, the former president's Vitaliy Serdiuk told journalists outside the court on Thursday.
As already reported, Yanukovych decided not to participate in the trial proceedings.
"The number of legal infractions committed by Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) during the course of this process negates completely any verdict that will be handed down at the end of the proceedings. It doesn't matter whether it is an innocent or guilty verdict. It will mean nothing, because of all the violations caused by the PGO," Serdiuk said.
