Obolonsky court withdraws to chambers until July 12 to provide Yanukovych with state lawyer
The judicial panel of the Obolonsky District Court of Kyiv has withdrawn to the advisory room until July 12 to resolve the issue of providing ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych with a free state lawyer in criminal proceedings on charges of high treason that is conducted in absentia.
This happened after the prosecutor of the main military prosecutor's office, Maksym Krym, asked to provide Viktor Yanukovych with a lawyer from the Center of Free Legal Assistance in connection with the ex-president's statement on recalling his lawyers, the Kyiv-based Interfax-Ukraine news agency said.
