MP Dovhy asks regulatory committee to strip him of immunity
Non-affiliated deputy and ex-secretary of the Kyiv City Council Oles Dovhy has appealed to members of the Verkhovna Rada regulatory committee with a request to support the request of Ukraine's Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko to strip him of parliamentary immunity.
He said this on Tuesday morning during the meeting of the said committee of the parliament, where the motion of Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko on granting the consent of the Verkhovna Rada to bring Dovhy to criminal liability is considered, the Kyiv-based Interfax-Ukraine news agency has said.
"I appeal to you: support the request and give me the opportunity to make these speculations final once and for all in court," Dovhy said after Lutsenko had presented the PGO's position on this motion.
