The fire the fire in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, Kyiv region, was extinguished at 13:25 on Saturday, the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine reported.
"Thanks to the combined use of ground and air forces the fire was extinguished at 13:25 on July 1," the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said on Saturday.
As reported, on June 29 at 12:35 there was a fire of forest residues and wood litter in the exclusion zone during the pre-processing of forest felling for construction of the railway. The area of the fire reached 25 hectares on Thursday.
By 18:00 on Friday, June 30, rescuers managed to reduce the fire area from 25 hectares to 7 hectares.
