EU Council resolution to extend Russia economic sanctions published in EU Official Journal

The resolution passed by the Council of the European Union on June 28 to extend the restrictive economic measures imposed on Russia for another six months was published in the EU Official Journal on Thursday.

Under the relevant legal act, the sanctions were extended until January 31, 2018.

This decision was unanimously adopted by the EU member states by written procedure.
