Ukrainian chief military prosecutor see Russian trail as main theory behind Shapoval's murder
Investigators consider Russia's involvement in the terrorist attack, which killed an officer of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Chief Intelligence Directorate, Col. Maksym Shapoval as the mail line of inquiry, Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoliy Matios said.
"The main line of inquiry is the Russian trace. More information about the investigation will be disclosed in as much detail as is permitted by security later," Matios said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He pointed to the absurdity of any theories involving Shapoval's commercial activities.
According to Matios, the investigation engages four military prosecutors.
