Ex Donbas battalion volunteers accuse MP Semenchenko of various criminal acts
A number of former members of the Donbas volunteer battalion have appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) of Ukraine demanding it investigate what they say are crimes committed by Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deputy Semen Semenchenko, who is a member of the Samopomich faction.
"Our appeal will be signed and sent to the PGO today. We want to raise this issue. Semenchenko is someone who lies a lot. Ordinary people still have not figured out that this is not a secret, but [Ukrainian] media is ignoring this," Donbas volunteer battalion member Oleksandr Kalashnyk said on Thursday during a press conference at the Kyiv-based Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
Signatories of the appeal said they would also petition Rada deputies about crimes allegedly committed by Semenchenko.
