Rada requested to strip 5 lawmakers of immunity from prosecution
Requests for removal of parliamentary immunity from prosecution from five lawmakers were submitted to the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday, Parliamentary Chairman Andriy Parubiy sent them to the relevant committee.
"The Verkhovna Rada has received five requests concerning lawmakers. The parliament speaker sent them to the regulations committee," a spokesman for the Rada chairman, Andriy Kovaliov, told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, lawmakers have been asked to strip Andriy Lozovoy (the Radical Party faction), Oles Dovhy (the People's Will group), Yevhen Deidei and Maksym Poliakov (both of the People's Front faction) and Boryslav Rozenblat (the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction) of their immunity from prosecution.
