Poltorak stands for activation of defense cooperation between Ukraine and France
Security in Ukraine and around its borders, as well as issues of deepening defense cooperation between Ukraine and France, were the subject of a meeting between Defense Ministers of Ukraine and France, Stepan Poltorak and Sylvie Goulard.
"Cooperation between our countries is very important, especially in the field of defense. So, there is an opportunity to significantly increase the work between our departments," the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
The minister said that the system of integrating the Armed Forces of Ukraine into NATO through joint drills and work in the sphere of the military-industrial complex is important, which is already underway.
In turn, the French defense minister said that the French side is ready to deepen cooperation and discuss further prospects.
"Beyond all doubt, we support Ukraine, for your heroic soldiers are forced to achieve the country's independence with lethal force in the 21st century, and this is very important," Goulard said.
