EU wants U.S. to coordinate possible new sanctions on Russia with its intl partners
The European Union believes it is important for the United States to coordinate possible new sanctions against Russia with its international partners.
"We are aware of the draft legislation before the Congress. It is important for possible new measures to be coordinated between international partners to ensure their impact internationally, and to maintain unity among partners on the sanctions," the EU spokesperson told Interfax on Friday.
"We will continue to closely follow developments in the Congress in this regard," the spokesperson said, commenting on the draft legislation imposing new sanctions on Russia endorsed by the U.S. Senate on Thursday.
