Batkivschyna ready to support introduction of visa regime with Russia - Tymoshenko

The Batkivschyna faction will vote for the resolution on appeal to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine on the introduction of a visa regime with the Russian Federation if it is put to a vote in the nearest plenary week, head of the faction Yulia Tymoshenko has said.

"If the issue is brought to the session hall in two [calendar] weeks, we will support it," she said at a press conference in Kharkiv.

At the same time, speaking about the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, Tymoshenko noted she considers the Minsk agreements to be unpromising and advocates holding negotiations between the signatory countries of the Budapest Memorandum (on security assurances in connection with Ukraine's accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons) at the level of presidents.
