Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko could soon meet with French President Emmanuel Macron.
"I think very soon there will be a meeting between the president and the newly elected president of France, Emmanuel Macron," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said on the 112.Ukraine TV channel on Thursday evening.
The minister said that negotiations within the Normandy format always take place at different levels. "Now there are very intensive consultations with our German and French friends. I talked to a new French foreign minister a couple of days ago - we are planning our meeting in the near future," Klimkin said.
At the same time, he did not rule out that a trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Ukraine, France and Germany could take place.
According to him, it is first of all necessary to achieve coordination between the parties for the organization of the meeting at the highest level.
