Merkel sees no point in replacing OSCE monitors with UN's in eastern Ukraine
There is no need to replace OSCE [Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe] monitors in Ukraine with a UN mission, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said.
"There is no point in looking for other formats, which will not prove more useful," Merkel said at a press conference following talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, when asked whether the United Nations may send its mission to Ukraine.
