Ten people have been killed in an explosion in the St. Petersburg metro system, St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko's press secretary Andrei Kibitov said with reference to preliminary reports.
Poltavchenko is currently at the accident site, Kibitov said.
"According to tentative information, ten people were killed in the explosion, the governor is at the accident site in the metro," Kibitov said on Rossiya 24 (VGTRK) television on Monday.
