Justice ministry initiates independent audit of NACP after April 1
The independent audit of operations of National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP), including technical, will be conducted after April 1, Ukrainian Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko has said.
"As for the today's situation, we propose that after April 1 the independent audit of operations of the previous NACP staff and the independent technical audit and this year remove all mistakes made by NACP," the minister said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.
Petrenko said that despite the current situation, the e-declaration system will operate. All measures to protect and retain this system will be made, he said.
He said that persons who would not be able to submit declaration due to unbiased reasons would not be punished: the legislative initiative will be submitted to parliament.
"We would not allow groundless punishment of those who fairly filled in drafts, submitted all information, but failed to send this declaration to the system to the unbiased reasons. Today these are 400,000 declarations that are in the drafts now," he said.
