Journalists detained during opposition rally in Minsk
Journalists covering the unpermitted Day of Will rally held by the Belarusian opposition in Minsk were detained during the event.
The BelaPAN news agency said that its reporter Zakhar Shcherbakov was detained. In addition, two BBC reporters were detained, the agency said.
The Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper's journalists Irina Kozlik, Darya Puteiko, Anna Rybchinskaya and its editor Andrei Levkovsky were detained, the Belarusian news portal tut.by said.
According to tut.by, Russian photojournalist Anton Karliner, reporters of Belarus' Nasha Niva newspaper Irina Arakhovskaya and Artyom Garbatsevich, journalists of the Belsat TV channel Anna Bodyako and Alexandra Borozenko were detained as well.
Tut.by journalists Yelena Bychkova and Ivan Yarivanovich were detained in Gomel, they were brought to the Sovetsky district police department and held there for two hours. Journalist Artyom Shraibman of tut.by was detained in Minsk.
