The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) was not guarding former Russian State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov, who was assassinated in central Kyiv on Thursday, SBU spokesperson Olena Hitlianska said.
"The Security Service of Ukraine did not guard Voronenkov," Hitlianska told Interfax on Thursday, commenting on media reports alleging that officials from the special service were guarding Voronenkov.
