Poroshenko reiterates negative attitude to idea of early parliamentary election in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has reiterated his negative attitude to the idea of an early parliamentary election.
"Given that the constitution entrusts the Ukrainian president with the right to call an early parliamentary election and to dissolve the parliament, I'd like to reiterate that I do not support an early parliamentary election, in which Russia is interested more than others, and therefore there will be no such election," Poroshenko said in Kyiv on Friday.
He had told Ukrainian channels in an interview on March 15 that Ukraine should hold the next parliamentary election in 2019.
