Russia in Minsk puts political issue ahead of security issues

The Russian side at the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) in Minsk has risen political issues before resolving security issues, Darka Olifer, a spokesperson for Leonid Kuchma, Ukraine's envoy to the Trilateral Contact Group has said.

"Unfortunately, the Russian side places political issues before the resolution of the security issues block - a complete and sustained ceasefire, the withdrawal of Russian formations and weapons from the territory of Ukraine," Olifer wrote on her Facebook page on Wednesday, following a meeting of the TCG.
