Humanitarian freight, passenger transport allowed, commercial shipments banned - Information minister Stets on occupied Donbas
The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine has decided on the full suspension of freight transportation services with uncontrolled areas in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, however, the new regulations do not affect humanitarian freight and transportation of passengers who cross the contact line, NSDC member and Information Police Minister Yuriy Stets has explained.
"The point at issue is freight transportation, and the NSDC's decision clearly states that it does not concern humanitarian freight," Stets told Interfax-Ukraine in a comment on Wednesday.
