Criminal case can be opened against Savchenko if investigators gather enough evidence
A criminal case may be opened against Ukrainian independent lawmaker Nadiya Savchenko if investigators gather enough evidence for this, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Hrytsak has said.
"Investigators collect materials: if these materials are enough to notify her of suspicion, the investigators will act in a legally prescribed manner. I cannot influence any decision by investigators in this matter," Hrytsak told journalists in Cherkasy on Friday, when asked if criminal proceedings may be launched against Savchenko.
