Boris Johnson in Kyiv visits Pizza Veterano, speaks about war in Donbas with owner, ATO veterans
British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson, who is in Kyiv on an official visit, met with veterans of Ukraine's Anti-terrorism Operation (ATO) working in Pizza Veterano. For over 30 minutes he discussed with owner Leonid Ostaltsev hostilities in Eastern Ukraine.
"Today I met with British FM Boris Johnson. He is an interesting chap. Johnson arrived with Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. We spoke for about 40 minutes about the war. And do you know what? He knows practically nothing about what's going on (or gave that impression). It's very nice that the UK side insisted on the meeting. We are very happy :-)," Ostaltsev wrote on his Facebook page, posting a photo of himself standing with Johnson.
Pizza Veterano is a pizzeria opened by former ATO soldiers, who staff the eatery exclusively.
