Rada dismisses bill lifting land privatization restrictions
The Verkhovna Rada has dismissed bill No. 3190 lifting restrictions to exercise the right to privatization and use of land parcels.
Only 170 lawmakers backed the bill at first reading on Tuesday. At least 226 votes are required to pass any bill.
The bill proposed to lift artificial restriction to exercise the right to privatization and use of land parcels, optimize the rules for registering rights to land parcels where immovable property is located.
The document envisaged the revoking of the necessity to draw up a land utilization project when the land parcel is transferred to ownership of the owner of the building located on this land parcel.
The bill also proposed to allow executive power agencies, local self-government agencies to transfer land parcels in state and municipal ownership without a detailed plan if buildings and facilities in ownership of the person are located on the land parcel.
