Restoration of cooperation between Ukraine, Moldova to be main theme of intergovernmental profile meeting in May-June
Ukrainian-Moldovan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation at a meeting in May-June, 2017 will discuss the development of economic cooperation between the two countries, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said.
"We particularly talked about gradual restoration of our economic cooperation. A regular session of the Intergovernmental Ukraine-Moldova Commission on trade and economic cooperation, planned for May-June, will be devoted to that issue," Poroshenko said at the joint briefing with Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip in Kyiv on Monday.
He said that this commission on the part of Ukraine is headed by First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Stepan Kubiv.
In addition, Poroshenko said that in 2016 an increase of trade turnover between Ukraine and Moldova has been recorded. "We agreed on further steps to eliminate any obstacles in this important area," he said.
