Health ministry to create National Health Service department by late March

Ukraine's Health Ministry during the transitive period intends to create the National Health Service department in the first quarter of 2017. The service will be transformed into the central executive power agency in the second quarter of 2017, the ministry's press service has reported.

"In the near term a draft resolution about the creation of the National Public Health Service will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the regulations of the agency will be approved," the ministry said.

As reported, during the reformation of the medical care financing system the Health Ministry announced the creation of a single national agency that will order medical services – the National Health Service that will manage budget funds allocated to cover expenses on insurance of all Ukrainian citizens within the state-guaranteed medical assistance package.
