Rada ratifies agreement on cooperation between Ukraine and European Organization for Justice
The Verkhovna Rada has ratified an agreement on cooperation between Ukraine and the European Organization for Justice.
Some 230 deputies voted for a law "On ratification of the Agreement on cooperation between Ukraine and the European Organization for Justice" (No. 0122) on Wednesday.
As noted in the explanatory documents, the agreement creates a legal basis for cooperation between Ukraine and the European Organization for Justice in the fight against serious crime, in particular, an organized crime and terrorism.
The agreement provides that the competent authority for the implementation of this agreement in Ukraine is the Prosecutor General's Office.
This agreement was signed in Brussels on June 27, 2016.
