Kyiv expects EU to grant visa-free regime in coming weeks
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is awaiting the final decision of the EU on visa-free regime for citizens of Ukraine in the coming weeks.
He said this is a direct obligation of the EU [...] We are expecting that in a very short time: in a few weeks this work will be completed to start a visa-free regime, the president said in an interview with Reuters at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
According to him, the decision on the need to provide Ukraine with visa-free regime was achieved the last month, but has not yet entered into force.
As is well-known, Kyiv is awaiting the decision of the European Parliament to provide visa-free regime with the EU to Ukrainians.
