Kyiv reports 62 attacks on Ukrainian army positions with one killed serviceman in past 24 hours
Over the past day the militants opened fire on positions of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 62 times in the Anti-Terrorist operation (ATO) zone, the press-service of the ATO staff said.
In particular, in the sector of Mariupol the militants fired Krasnohorivka and Maryinka using 120 mm and 82 mm calibers mortars, while Pavlopil, Hnutove, Hranytne, Vodiane, Novohryhorivka, Shyrokyne, Talakivka and Maryinka were fired by rocket-propelled grenades and small arms.
In the Luhansk sector the enemy shelled Troyitske with 122 mm caliber artillery, Novozvanivka and Troyitske - with the use of 120-mm mortars and 82 mm grenade launchers, Krymske - with large-caliber machine guns and weapons of infantry combat vehicles and Stanytsia Luhanska - with small arms.
In the Donetsk sector militants fired vicinities of Avdiyivka, Zaitseve, Novhorodske and Troyitske applying mortars of 120 mm and 82 mm calibers, rocket-propelled grenades and small arms were used to attack Avdiyivka, Mayorske, Pivnichne, Novoselivka Druha, Zalizne, Verkhniotoretske and Zaitseve, weapons of infantry combat vehicles fired at Avdiyivka. In addition, a sniper was shooting at Opytne.
As a result of the shelling, one soldier has been killed, four soldiers have been wounded and one - injured.
