Militant sniper activity intensifies on contact line in Donbas – ATO headquarters
The militants are marring the truce and shelling Ukrainian army positions in every Donbas area, the Anti-Terrorist operation (ATO) staff said.
"Sniper activity has intensified in each of the three sectors. Sniper fire has been observed near Hnutove, Vodiane, Talakivka, Novozvanivka and Avdiyivka. Forty-five shelling incidents occurred during the day," the staff said on Friday morning.
In the Mariupol sector, the hostiles fired mortars on Krasnohorivka and Talakivka, and grenade launchers and small arms were used against Shyrokyne, Starohnativka, Talakivka, Pavlopil, Hnutove and Vodiane, it said.
In the Donetsk sector, positions came under attack of grenade launchers and mortars near Luhanske, Troyitske, Zaitseve, Verkhniotoretske, Avdiyivka and Kruta Balka, the staff said.
In the Luhansk sector, the hostiles fired mortars on Malynove and grenade launchers on Balka Krutenka, Novozvanivka and Stanytsia Luhanska, it said.
