Ukrainian army reports 51 attacks on its positions in Donbas

Ukrainian army positions in Donbas came under 51 attacks in the past day, the Anti-Terrorist operation (ATO) staff said on Facebook.

Mortars of various calibers shelled Balka Kosharna, Popasna and Krymske in the Luhansk sector, it said.

In the Donetsk sector, 120mm mortars were used against positions in Troyitske, Opytne and Avdiyivka, and grenade launchers, weapons of infantry combat vehicles and heavy machineguns were fired in Luhanske, the staff said.

In the Mariupol sector, 122mm artillery and mortars fired on Talakivka, Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, Novoselivka Druha, Chermalyk, Lybidynske and Vodiane, and sniper activity was observed in Krasnohorivka. More than ten attacks engaging mortars of various calibers, an infantry combat vehicle and a tank were seen in Shyrokyne, it said.
