Ukraine will assume the presidency of the UN Security Council in February 2017, the organization reported.
"In February 2017, Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko will assume the office of the president of the UN Security Council," the UN reported on its Russian-language account on Twitter.
Ukraine is one of the ten non-permanent members of the UN Security Council.
