Rada votes for Budget Code amendments to 2017 state budget as basis
The Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday passed bill No. 5131 in first reading to amend the Budget Code of Ukraine (on improvement of budget compilation and execution) for the adoption of the law on the state budget for 2017.
Some 229 MPs voted for this motion, while they failed to pass the document as a whole, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reports.
Those who criticize the document explained their position by concerns for local budgets, which, in their opinion, thus acquire too many financial liabilities without respective resources.
